The ones I own (they may not be the exact same model, but they look the same) are now about 6 years old. They look terrible now, but I can't toss them because they are so incredibly comfortable. I'm sure they aren't good looking to help me pick up any chicks, but man are they plush!

These are just great shoes. Handmade in Portugal, the leather is soft, the craftsmanship outstanding and they look fantastic. As a EEE, I have a hard time finding shoes that really fit, but the Dakotas fit great (my 9.5 EEE = 43m). I first spotted these in Boston 4 or 5 years back and decided they were too expensive, but I've been thinking about them ever since and finally broke down...I only wish I hadn't waited so long!

I bought mine 5 years ago. Never had a pair of shoes like these. Full leather lining on the insides. Incredibly comfortable and well-ventilated. I wear them all the time without socks and it's like wearing sandals and there's no odor. Timeless classy rugged looks. I will definitely look hard for another pair if mine ever calls it quits.

Wonderful shoes! I normally wear an 8 3E or 4E and the 1803 size 42m fits perfectly. Extremely comfortable due to the soft leather and I've received numerous complements on the way they look. Have two pair.
