I have this shoe in both colors. I wear it in fall, winter, spring with lightweight Smartwool socks as both a dress shoe for work with pants, and a casual shoe. It wears very well - my pairs are a couple years old and aren't showing any wear. Comfortable, plenty of room in the shoe for a wide forefoot and high arch. The heel is narrower than in many wide width shoes, so it doesn't slip - and it's padded so there is no rubbing. I get lots of compliments on these shoes.
