The Next Gen outsole by Dansko is designed to be suitable in everyday work where there are excesses of vegetable oils and animal fats. Slip resistance tests have been conducted by SATRA, the world's leading research and technology organization for the shoe industry.
The Next Gen outsoles were tested for slip resistance against the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F1677-96 standard using the Mark II machine. The shoes were tested on dry, wet, oily, and oily-wet surface conditions using the red quarry tile, and concluded that Next Gen outsoles are fitting in a workplace resembling these conditions.
